How do I get there?
Best way to Jura House is straight up the Southern Expressway…turn off at Hahndorf, follow the signs to Woodside and then to Bird in Hand Winery, to Artwine…your GPS will get you there! Any snags just give Jen a shout!
I’m a beginner, is it ok for me to come on the retreat?
Yes. Our retreats cater for students of all levels. Because we keep participant numbers low, Jen is able to give individual instruction to each student, making sure everybody works at their own level and pace.
I’m travelling on my own, is that OK?
Yes! Most of our retreat participants come alone and all of them go home with new friends. We’re also delighted to welcome friends, spouses and family members (although we are unable to accommodate children under 16yrs).
What facilities are there at the retreat?
'Jura House' accommodation is designed as a well appointed country style homestead.
Completely self sustainable Jura House has five bedrooms, one king, two queens, four king singles, 2 fully equipped living rooms, three vanity’s, two toilets, two bathrooms and 61 acres of space for your complete enjoyment.
A spacious and tasteful property with up to date modern facilities including Internet WiFi, Indoor/outdoor Sonos audio system, two flat screens, fire pit, combustion heater, ducted rc/ac throughout, ceiling fans and beautiful high quality linen. 'Jura House’ provides an un matched environment for guests to rest and rejuvenate while enjoying the very best of the Adelaide Hills.
What happens on a yoga retreat?
It is a beautiful for you to simply just be rather do. Hatha, Yin Yoga & Pilates, Meditation and relaxation. We have added in plenty of time to simply sit, take in the view and read that book you have been wanting to dip into or take a drive to many of the beautiful wineries just on Jura’s doorstep. Roaming Zen provides a Mandala Workshop on the Saturday & an exclusive in house wine tasting from Artwine Estate. You can add in a massage at the home as a little extra or organise for the beauty treatment you never book! The weekend is yours to enjoy.
What kind of food will be served?
Jen prepare’s fresh, healthy vegetarian food at our retreats. The menu will vary according to the location and time of year, but it will always be fresh and tasty. We can accommodate most dietary requirements, including vegan, gluten-free and lactose intolerant. Just let us know your needs when you book and we’ll make sure you’ll be well fed!
What should I bring?
Most importantly, bring a big smile and plenty of enthusiasm! You’ll need comfy yoga clothes, but you won’t need to bring any other yoga equipment.
