Amanda has been dancing and performing for over 26 years. She began her dance career in calisthenics when she was 2 years old, and from there moved onto ballet, tap, jazz, and more recently, Latin and ballroom styles.

Amanda was also a member of the Crows Dance Team from the time she was 16. Some of these include the Adelaide Fringe and Cabaret Festivals, Variety Charity Gala and the Premiers Gala Dinner, as well as performing beside Barry Humphries in the closing show of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival 2015.

Her love of movement and dance prompted Amanda to become a Physiotherapist, with a focus on rehabilitation.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from UniSA in 2011 and has since been working as a senior physiotherapist at Griffith Rehabilitation Hospital.

Amanda regularly participates in professional development programs, including a Women’s Health Physiotherapy intensive course, pain sciences and has a full certification in matwork and equipment Pilates. She has been extremely passionate about teaching and practising Pilates for many years and has been utilising it as a treatment technique for patients with a wide range of conditions, including general and orthopaedic surgeries, pre/post-natal, oncology, chronic pain and neurological issues.

As a new mother herself, Amanda has developed a particular focus on post-pregnancy rehabilitation. With her extensive training in women’s health and her years of experience in injury rehabilitation, she will be running group classes, and also tailored sessions for individuals with specific needs.

Bec Strugnell

Yoga Instructor - Cover Team

Rebeccas first exposure to yoga was 9 years ago after the birth of her daughter Maya. She began taking weekly classes and felt the effects of a regular practice benefited & supported her life and journey into motherhood. The weekly class became a place of sanctuary and stillness inside herself and a way to regain balance and strength in both her mind & body.

In 2016 Rebecca began her teacher training to gain a deeper understanding into her own practice with Byron Yoga Centre. This reignited her passion and she completed 500RYT of training in one year whilst working part time and raising her two children. She believes her patience and self acceptance are two of her strongest characteristics.

Rebecca primarily teaches a holistic class opening, releasing & strengthening the whole body, bringing you into a state of self acceptance & awareness. Her classes incorporate pranayama or breath work and meditation to bring you home to your true nature & there is always a delicate balance of joy and calmness, Rebecca’s love & gratitude for this practice is authentically delivered.
